Wild Adventures snaps up new alligator attractions

2019 will see Wild Adventures Theme Park, Georgia, build a new kids’ area boasting immersive wildlife experiences, six rides, and the chance to get up close with South Georgia’s most intriguing native species.

The new additions represent one of the park’s largest projects in a decade with a renovation of more than three acres.

American Alligators are at the heart of the new kids’ area, which will be constructed near the main entrance to the park, and the experience will begin with a new exhibit that will be home to dozens of alligators – Alligator Alley.

The six kid-friendly rides have been reimagined from existing attractions, and include Okefenokee Express, a train that takes junior travellers through the waters of the swampy South. Guests can take a whirl on Flying Gators and Turtle Twist, and Swampwater Snake is a slither-sliding family coaster. Little ones can hop to the top with Hoppin’ Gator, and see some more friendly creatures at the swamp, Okefenokee Express.

“With this new area, Wild Adventures is providing an amazing place for families to experience together. It is really important to us that, as soon as they enter the park, families have an experience that results in memories worth repeating.”

– Molly Deese, Wild Adventures vice president and general manager

The new area also features a free admissions program for young children, with construction beginning in October 2018 and set for completion in March 2019.
