Village Roadshow Theme Parks, Guangxi Investment Group, and Mission Hills Group have announced that Hainan’s new water park, Wet’n’Wild Haikou, is now open.
Located in Mission Hills Centreville Haikou, the 240,000 square-metre retail, dining, and entertainment precinct, Wet’n’Wild Haikou is the city’s first international water park and offers a line-up of more than 30 iconic slides, pools, and attractions. Design company Water Technology will be lead design consultant, with WhiteWater West Industries supplying all of the park’s attractions.
Wet’n’Wild Haikou boasts slides for all ages, a host of family-friendly attractions including the idyllic Wild Water Bay, a Wave Pool, and a digital screen.
“Wet’n’Wild Haikou will provide Hainan holiday makers and locals with a truly international water park experience that will transport them into a never-before- seen world of wild water adventures,” said Wet’n’Wild Haikou general manager, Lee Carter. “Our mission is to be a world leader in safety and provide world-class water slides, facilities, food and service to generate repeat visitation and enjoyment for all visiting guests.”
Wet’n’Wild Haikou is operated by Village Roadshow Theme Parks, part of Village Roadshow Limited, and Australia’s largest theme park operator with Sea World, Warner Bros. Movie World, Wet ‘n’ Wild Gold Coast, Village Roadshow Studios, Sea World Resort & Water Park and Wet’n’Wild Las Vegas in the United States.
