Walibi and Aqualibi recruit for the 2022 season

Walibi is already preparing for the new season which will begin on April 2nd. In order to offer an extraordinary day to its visitors, the park is looking for 600 employees – seasonal and students – in a multitude of different functions: attraction operator, lifeguard, catering employee, reception agent , maintenance agent, maintenance technician, salesperson, first aid worker, etc. Interested parties are invited to apply online before the end of February.
The skills required are mainly related to interpersonal skills. Visitor satisfaction, a sense of welcome and service are the key words.

Antoine Stasse, HR manager Walibi Belgium-Aqualibi said: “We aim to provide unforgettable sensations, emotions and memories to anyone who enters our park. We attach particular importance during our recruitment process to smiling, welcoming, caring and respectful profiles of the procedures and / or regulations related to the function. Experience in tourism or in another amusement park is not a prerequisite because any seasonal worker will benefit from free and certified training in the hospitality professions of tourism and leisure.”

The recruitment process

As a first step, interested parties are invited to record a short video presentation via a dedicated platform . This video can be done using a smartphone or a webcam. After this first screening, the selected candidates will be able to participate in a digital Job Day in order to meet the park teams and ask all their questions. Finally, candidates will participate in a recruitment session organized within the park. This session is divided into 3 parts: an interview with an ambassador from Walibi Belgium – Aqualibi, a personality test and a practical scenario.

High loyalty among seasonal workers and students

No less than 65% of seasonal workers and students repeat their adventure on the Wavrien site from year to year. This high level of loyalty testifies to the park’s increased efforts to guarantee the satisfaction of its staff.

Stasse said: “Our HR policy is geared towards the importance of well-being at work. To this end, we are developing multiple internal actions throughout the season. When sanitary conditions allow, we organize, for example, team buildings and drinks. These are times when our employees relax, but also meet colleagues and management in a relaxed atmosphere. This allows us to forge lasting links between the teams and to create this friendly atmosphere, so typical of Walibi!”

Those interested in these job opportunities are invited to apply online via the site  www.walibi.be , “Jobs” tab, until February 28.
