Vitala signs deal in Vietnam

Eight feasability studies planned

The Hanh Liem Group in Vietnam has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Vitala Group to carry out and approve eight separate project feasibility studies and finance those that are then approved.

Most projects are situated within the Ho Chi Minh City district and cover various mixed use apartments/offices/leisure service buildings, a hotel and themed entertainment project, plus a resort project to be located in the Khanh Haa Province. Also being considered is a marina and freight container port in Ho Chi Minh City Harbour.

The Hanh Liem Group will provide all the suitable sites and facilitate government permits and licences, while the Vitala Group will deal with all project architectural designs, provision of feasibility research studies, finance evaluation and placement of individual project funds. Initially the Vietnamese contract party will be Thanh Nien Joint Stock Corporation in Ho Chi Minh City.

The deal follows a recent announcement by the deputy head of the Vietnam National Administration for Tourism, who hopes to attract new visitors from Western Europe, China, Singapore and Malaysia. Vietnamese Airlines has pledged to discount airfares for tourists from those markets.
