Virtuix unveils Elite Force for Omni Arena

Virtuix, developer of the Omni Arena virtual reality esports attraction, has unveiled Elite Force, its latest game for Omni Arena. Elite Force is a player-vs-player military shooter in the style of the popular video game Call of Duty. Up to four players fight each other and battle for special weapons that parachute down from the sky. The player who scores the most kills wins.

“Elite Force is our most appealing game to date,” said Jan Goetgeluk, founder and CEO of Virtuix. “It turns Omni Arena into a modern-day laser-tag attraction that immerses gamers in their favourite military combat world. It gives millions of fans of blockbuster games like Call of Duty a new reason to visit a family entertainment center.”

“This is the closest thing to playing Call of Duty in virtual reality,” said Eddie Hamann, managing member of Andretti Indoor Karting & Games, the entertainment center in Orlando, Florida, where Elite Force debuted. “This experience is so appealing and unique, there’s nothing like it. Some guests would drive from over an hour away to come play this.”

Omni Arena is a full-body, competitive virtual reality attraction for up to four players. Motion platforms inside the attraction enable players to walk and run around inside video games. Guests can compete for top spots on leaderboards and win a share of a $100,000 “esports” prize pool sponsored by Virtuix and HP.
