In a brief update to employees, Tom Williams, chairman and CEO of Universal Parks & Resorts is reported to have said that construction of Universal Orlando Resort’s new Epic Universe theme park in Florida is progressing and on track for a 2023 opening.
Work is also said to be continuing on other Universal’s projects worldwide, including Universal Beijing Resort in China and Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan in Osaka. Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood in California are temporarily closed until April 19 due to the coronavirus.
