Read it and seethe!
From the opening sentence, it is clear that author Jeffrey P Stoneking, a former maintenance assistant and ride operator, had an axe to grind in writing Theme Park Safety Failure$.
It reads like a tabloid journalism exposè of the outdoor amusement industry.
From imagined design flaws to supposed cover-ups when deadly accidents occur, Stoneking contends that the squeaky-clean image of theme parks is plagued with circumstances park officials and ride manufacturers prefer the general public not to know.
For those who believe amusement rides are inherently dangerous, this will add fuel to their fire. For those who do not, they will find the book to be a jaw-dropping inflammatory indictment of the industry. Read it and seethe – Paul Ruben.
