Simworx officially launches two new products at IAAPA Expo Europe

Plus! CEO wins Industry Icon award

The Simworx team enjoyed a busy IAAPA Expo Europe in Paris last week where the company showcased the latest additions to its product range at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.

Simworx held a press conference at the event to officially launch the AGV Dark Ride and Mini Flying Theatre, while it also promoted the new Metro of Time attraction, among other attractions.

Also during their time at the show the team attended the Kirmes & Park Revue European Star Awards at which, for another year running, Simworx received a Star Award in the category of Best Dark Ride, for the Derren Brown’s Ghost Train attraction at Thorpe Park.

The first example of the newly launched Mini Flying Theatre will soon open in Vietnam at Baosun Wildlife Park in Hanoi. This has been developed as a smaller option to the Flying Theatre also offered by Simworx.

The new AGV Dark ride looks to push the boundaries of the genre. With no tracks or power cables the vehicles have the ability to freely roam along a programmed path at speeds unrivalled within the industry. Additionally, the new Metro of Time attraction puts a twist on the traditional 4D cinema, taking guests on a time travelling adventure in fully themed metro carriages.

Rounding off the company’s time in Paris, Simworx also attended the Park World Excellence Awards where CEO Terry Monkton received the coveted Industry Icon (Manufacturer/Supplier) Award. The award is presented to those who have served the European attractions industry and played a significant role in its success.

“We had another busy show this year with a lot of interest being shown in the new AGV Dark Rides and the Mini Flying Theatre,” said Simworx sales director Edward Pawley. “These are exceptional additions to the product range and we are already talking to a number of potential clients about them. The Metro of Time was also well received, while the fully operational ParadropVR we had on the booth also proved popular and was in constant use. All in all it was a successful few days, topped off by the awards we also received.”
