Santa’s Lapland launches Santa’s Aurora for winter 2018

Santa’s Lapland, providers of once-in-a-lifetime trips to visit Santa in Finnish Lapland, has launched a new premium experience for the 2018 holiday season; Santa’s Aurora. Similar to the Santa’s Magic package, Santa’s Aurora will offer families three and four day breaks to Santa’s home in Saariselkä.

The Santa’s Aurora experience includes a private meeting with Santa and his elves, a special gift for his guests, and a range of snow and ice activities. Extended husky rides and an interactive igloo experience are also available, and guests will be able to learn about the northern lights’ local legends. Guests who book a Santa’s Magic Trip will be able to search for Santa by snowmobile-sleigh and visit the Reindeer Centre and husky farm.

The finale for the new Santa’s Aurora experience is the Aurora Wilderness Diner, where guests will enjoy traditional Lappish dishes cooked by a local Finnish chef. The dinner takes place in a prime location to view the Northern Lights – and customers who book a four-day Santa’s Aurora holiday also have the opportunity to book an additional northern lights safari on their adventure day.

“We are delighted to introduce a new hotel for our guests visiting Santa in Lapland,” said Chris Lovelock, product manager. “Positioned at the top of the fell, perfectly positioned to spot the Northern Lights if they appear, this hotel provides high quality accommodation for visitors to a truly magical place.”
