PortAventura celebrates summer

Looking for a new seasonal event to boost business at your park? How about a summer party?

The Spanish theme park resort PortAventura, which already boasts successful events including a two-month Halloween season, is to stage its first ever ‘White Night’ on Saturday, June 30. The event is being held to welcome the start of the summer season and will feature a special night opening from 10pm right through until 4am.

Guests will be able to enjoy attractions including Shambhala – the highest roller coaster in Europe –  Dragon Khan, Hurakan Condor and Furius Baco into the early hours. There will also be also scheduled musical performances throughout the park, DJ performances and a foam party. Most of the park’s restaurants and shop will remain open the whole night, too.

Tickets for the after dark session are available for €15, while guests who have entered the park earlier in the day can stay for free. The summer season continues until September 1, with opening until 12 midnight on peak days.

The PortAventura resort is located in Salou on the Costa Dorada. As well as being home to Spain’s busiest theme park, it also features four hotels, a waterpark and gold course.
