Palace Playland, Old Orchard Beach, Maine, is replacing their 23-year-old S.D.C. Galaxi roller with Sea Viper, a new and larger Anaconda coaster from Preston & Barbieri. The 70 foot (21 m) tall ride will be the first of its kind in North America when it opens in spring 2018.
Joel Golder, owner of the beachfront amusement park, believes it will be a welcome addition to his facility, and an upgrade over the Galaxi. “It’s going to be twice as high, a third wider, and a third longer,” he said.
