New attractions planned for Familypark festivities

Familypark, based in St. Margarethen, Austria, are preparing to celebrate their 50th anniversary with the announcement of two new rides and a new park area.

From mid-April, guests can visit a fairy-tale carousel manufactured by Wooddesign Amusement Rides. The carousel pays homage to the origins of the park, and visitors can take a seat on either an animal figure or a spinning and rocking gondola.

Two new Almjodler towers have been added too, where riders free fall from a height of eight metres. Located in the new mountain village, the Almjodler was manufactured by Zierer.

Also planned for 2018 is the Fairytale Forest, and a new juice shop and bakery, where visitors can enjoy fresh juices, smoothies, and waffles.

“For 50 years we have been leading our Familypark with heart and passion. In the beginning it was naturally a challenge,” said Mario Müller, owner of Familypark. “but success has proved us right, and we are proud of our life’s work. We also see our anniversary as an order, in the further development of the park and keeping up with the times.”
