Merlin Entertainments invests attractions in northwest UK

Merlin Entertainments will launch two new features at its Manchester attractions next spring. ‘Unearthly’ creatures are set to swim into the Manchester Sea Life Centre, and a new interactive experience will be installed at Legoland Discovery Centre.

The developments see over £400k invested in the family-friendly attractionsm but there are no further details to report as yet. Speaking on the announcement Jenn McDonough, general manager of Manchester cluster of Merlin Entertainments, said: “Manchester Sea Life Centre and Legoland Discovery Centre are two of our leading attractions and have been inspiring, exciting and educating families for over seven years. We’re committed to delivering new experiences for both first-time visitors and returning guests and promise 2018 will bring something incredible to the North West.”

It’s the latest in a series of developments from Merlin Entertainments who earlier this year invested £1m in the refurbishment of the world-class Legoland Discovery Centre.  Collectively, over the last seven years Sea Life and Legoland Discovery Centre have welcomed over 3.5m visitors to the Barton Square attractions.
