California’s Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk has introduced Undertow, its new spinning coaster from Maurer Söhne.
Unlike most rollercoasters, which carry an entire trainload of riders, Undertow uses individual cars each holding four guests, sat back-to-back in pairs. The ride experience changes every time, depending on the weight and position of the passengers in the vehicle.
The ride, which debuted on 19 October, takes over the location previously occupied by the Hurricane coaster from SDC.
