Marineland of Canada season launches new family-friendly features

Marineland of Canada, Niagara Falls, Ontario, has launched a multi-stop ‘Marineland Express,’ an in-park tram system that will carry passengers through the park, making it easier for families to see all that Marineland has to offer.

From True American Classics, the Bear, Bison, and Elk Express trains will each carry families from the park’s new Education Presentation, to Polar Splash and beyond to the family rides, the Deer Park, Beluga Whales at Arctic Cove and Friendship Cove, and the Bison. Guests can stroll through the park if you choose or listen for the whistle and the ring of the bell and ride the comfortable seats of one of the classic express coaches as they carry visitors from the front gate to the farthest parts of the park and back.

“This is something we’ve heard from many families who visit Marineland, noted Marie Holer, of Marineland of Canada. “They love all of the different experiences they can have at Marineland, but wished there was a way to cut down on some of the walking. We’ve listened and developed a safe and fun way to shuttle families through the park and make it easier and more fun for our guests to experience Marineland in a day.”

Families will undoubtedly notice the massive icebergs and life-like polar bears, belugas, dolphins, narwhals, seals and walruses in the centre of the park. Designed by Terra Plan, this is the home to the new two-acre Polar Splash, a kid-friendly splash park that will consist of ten slides and 150 water sprayers for families to enjoy. There are change rooms and tables with umbrellas. Polar Splash is open each day until an hour before the park closes each night.

“We’re making Marineland even more family-friendly on those hot summer days when you want to get the kids out of the house,” added Holer, “but also want to keep them cool. Polar Splash is the answer many families have been looking for and one we’re excited to offer them.”
