Chinese ride debuts in UK
Although Chinese ride manufacturers now offer a wide range of attractions in their catalogues, so far very few are actually built for customers outside the People’s Republic.
This ride pictured here, called Shark Fight, is the first to be exported to the UK by Chuangqi Amusement of Shenyang. Engineering support was provided by DMG Technical Services from South Wales.
The attraction is now operational at Ocean Beach in South Shields near Newcastle Upon Tyne. Suitable for indoor or outdoor applications, riders must shoot water at a central feature as their cars flip from side to side.
Two more versions of the ride will be delivered over the winter to West Midland Safari Park and Bournemouth’s Adventure Wonderland, also in England. DMG is also offering a mid-size version of the ride called Snail Attack.
