Leolandia most popular theme park in Italy according to Trip Advisor

Leolandia, the fantasy world near the city of Milan (Italy) dedicated to families and children up to 10 years old, remains the most popular Italian theme park, according to TripAdvisor international travellers as it won this fierce competition for the third consecutive year: this is what emerges in Top 10 best Amusement Parks in Italy in the 2019 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice  ChoiceAwards, which recognise the best travel spots based on user reviews.

More specifically, Leolandia won the “gold medal” in the Italian Amusement Parks & Water Parks category, as announced on July 23rd. Award winners were determined using an algorithm that took into account not only the quantity, but also the quality of user reviews and the corresponding ratings over a period of 12 months.

Such success spread beyond the borders of Italy. As a result, the park climbed the international rankings in terms of preference: Leolandia won the 14th place in the world, climbing by 9 positions, not to mention that it is the only Italian excellence included in the Top 25 and reached the 5th place in Europe, rising by 3 positions compared to 2018. A respectable result if we consider that we estimate that there are about 20,000 theme parks in the world.

In their reviews, they have been declaring that they particularly appreciate the staff, who are considered unparalleled in their professionalism, courtesy and friendliness, the care and cleaning of the environment, not to mention the uniqueness of the experience and the high-quality contents offered.

The success of Leolandia lies in a one-of-a-kind formula, which blends the charm of a fully themed park with the offer of 46 attractions, 33 of which are also accessible to younger children, under 90 cm. Over 10 self-produced shows with an international cast of artists and an educational farm complete the offer. Little guests have also the possibility to meet the cartoon’s main characters in person: the stars Masha and the Bear, PJ Masks heroes, the popular masked superheroes, the characters from Miraculous™ – Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir, Bing and Flop, the characters from the TV series of the same name, Thomas the Tank Engine, who is excited to offer a tour around the park for all guests. At the same time, Leolandia provides adults with safety and quality services, with functional facilities for the visit, which can also be used by families with new-borns.

“Achieving excellent results is demanding and often difficult, but maintaining them over time, and even trying to improve them is even more challenging – Giuseppe Ira, the President of Leolandia, affirms – The victory in TripAdvisor ranking as the Italian most popular park for the third consecutive year and our international growth is, compared to industry giants, the best demonstration of the constant commitment and investment we have been placing to innovate, anticipate trends and increase the quality of content and services we offer. The enthusiasm of our team, who makes the experience of our guest magical, is equally important. We are grateful to our visitors who have shown us that much affection. It is indeed a driving force to further improve.”

“Fun is the absolute protagonist of the Travellers’ Choice TM Awards dedicated to theme parks, in which Leolandia has been named as the Italian best rated park and has climbed positions in Europe and the world –TripAdvisor Italy spokesperson Valentina Quattro has remarked –
Congratulations to Leolandia, which has been characterised, in this edition of the awards, by the appreciation of travellers from all over the world”.

The public appreciation is supported by the operating results of the park, which ended 2018 with a turnover of over 37 million euros and around 1.1 million admissions. In the first part of 2019 season, figures have been increasing and it is expected to reach 1.2 million visitors, thanks to 201 open days for this season: at the end of the summer, Leolandia will remain at the disposal of its young guests with the special openings on HalLEOween and during Enchanted Christmas, not to mention long weekends throughout the autumn period, until January 6th.
