KidZania welcomes visitors again

KidZania has announced the re-opening of a number of its facilities.

After closing its premises in March over the coronavirus pandemic, KidZania Seoul and KidZania Busan welcomed visitors once again on 6 April.

KidZania Tokyo and KidZania Koshien reopened its doors to visitors on 1 June after Japan’s prime minister Shinzō Abe lifted the country’s state of emergency after a marked fall in new coronavirus cases in Tokyo, as well as in other hard-hit regions by this pandemic in the country.

Both Japan facilities closed their doors in early March. Although this action was not mandated by the local government, KidZania Japan took this decision to show its empathy and solidarity with its visitors, suppliers and team.

In the Middle East, KidZania Jeddah closed on 9 March following the directives of authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Now, after almost four months, the national curfew in this country has been lifted along with the suspension of entertainment activities. Following local recommendations, KidZania Jeddah reopened on 21 June with best-in-class hygiene and social distancing measures to ensure a safe and fun return.I’m

In the same region, KidZania Cairo voluntarily closed its doors on 16 March. As the number of COVID-19 continues to decrease and the national curfew has been lifted, entertainment activities in Cairo were allowed to resume their operations with 25% of their capacity starting this week. In accordance to this directive, KidZania Cairo re-opened its doors on 1 July with the highest hygiene standards, and a team eager and happy to welcome visitors back.

In cooperation with their local governments, and public health institutions, all these facilities have welcomed customers again after implementing extensive hygiene and health measures to ensure that visitors, as well as their teams, can come back to KidZania and enjoy a day of fun and learning in a safe environment.

Some of the measures implemented by these KidZania Cities include reduced business hours, limited capacity in both facilities and establishments, social distancing in queuing and inside establishments, continuous sanitization of common areas, temperature screening, among others.
