Intamin’s new projects

Intamin has a long list of new rides opening for the coming year.

Here goes: an LSM launch coaster is going to Busch Gardens Tampa in Florida; a ZacSpin and an Impulse Coaster are planned for a new park in China; Rapids Rides are headed for Ocean Park in Hong Kong and Rainbow Magicland outside Rome, which has also ordered a 20-meter Shoot-the-Chutes; a 25-metre Shoot-the-Chutes is being supplied to Changzhou Dinosaur Land in China; a 40-metre Surf Rider is going to a park in Saudi Arabia; observation towers are planned for the State Fair of Texas (150-metres/500ft) and Taipei, Taiwan (110-metres/360ft) and an unidentified Asian park (53-metres/175ft); while monorails are being shipped to a China, Africa and Italy.

Intamin is also retrofitting Superman the Escape at California’s Six Flags Magic Mountain with new trains that will ride backwards and upgrading the Liseberg Tower in Sweden to a freefall which, when opened will be the tallest in Europe and the second tallest in the world.

Intamin’s Family Launch Coaster with freefall, as seen in the form of Thirteen at Alton Towers (pictured below), was recognised recenlty as the best Major Theme/Amusement Park Ride at IAAPA Attractions Expo in Orlando.
