Harley Quinn Spinsanity opens at Six Flags America

Six Flags America, Bowie, Maryland, has debuted Harley Quinn Spinsanity, a Giant Discovery from Zamperla. The oversized pendulum ride, named after the iconic DC Super-Villain Harley Quinn, delivers epic, high-flying excitement as it spins and swings to breathtaking heights.

“Six Flags America takes pride in continuing to introduce innovative new attractions to provide a great experience for guests in the region,” said Park President Richard Pretlow. “Harley Quinn Spinsanity is the tallest, fastest, and most extreme pendulum ride in the District of Columbia-Maryland-Virginia region and will be a guest favorite whether you’re riding it or watching it swing 15 stories over the midway.”

The towering, impressive giant disc will reach speeds up to 70 miles per hour (113 kph) as it whips back and forth going higher and higher while constantly spinning, giving riders an exhilarating riding experience. Harley Quinn Spinsanity seats 40 riders who will swing back and forth while rotating counterclockwise. As guests swing higher and higher, they will experience a feeling of weightlessness at 147 feet (45 m) in the air before plunging downward from 15 stories. This is the tallest, fastest and most extreme pendulum ride in all of the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.

Harley Quinn Spinsanity will take her rightful villainous place across from The Joker’s Jinx and Riddle Me This in the park’s Gotham City section.

To observe health and safety protocols, Six Flags worked in partnership with its epidemiologist consultants to create a safe experience that meets or exceeds federal, state, and local guidelines. Park attendance will be carefully monitored and all Members, Season Pass Holders, and guests with single-day tickets will be required to make a reservation to visit Six Flags America. In addition, all team members and all guests two years and up are required to wear masks covering the nose and mouth while in the park. Props, rides, restraints, handrails, and dining and restroom facilities are cleaned and sanitized regularly, while multiple alcohol-based hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the park for guest and team member usage.
