The Curse of the Silverback, a CanonBowl waterslide from Proslide Technology, is now open at Enchanted Forest/Water Safari, Old Forge, New York. The attraction is the first new ride at the waterpark since the installation of the Shadow in 2002, and gives guests an exhilarating adventure.
Riders experience a 100ft drop into a 40ft diameter bowl, which they circle several times before dropping out the middle to the splash pool below. To support the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, a large gorilla figure has been placed at the centre of the slide.
“We’re hoping to donate [to the fund] every couple of weeks,” says the park’s marketing director, Katie Noonan.
