3D film goes on general release
The 3D film Fly Me To The Moon, produced by attraction specialist nWave, is now on general release at movie theatres in 37 countries and at the time of writing had grossed over $22 million.
One of the latest countries to come on board was the UK, where over 74 cinemas will show the full-length version of the film, including IMAX screens at the National Media Museum in Bradford and Science Centre in London.
A computer-animated story of three flies who accidentally board a lunar flight, Fly Me To The Moon is also available in a shortened form with added 4D effects cues for parks and attractions. Around 15 venues are currently showing this version.
