Fishy fun at Familypark Neusiedlersee

Austria’s Familypark Neusiedlersee has unveiled a Flying Fish ride courtesy of Zierer.

Each arm is attached to a hydraulic cylinder, allowing riders to control the height of their gondola using a joystick.

With a giant octopus as its centre, the new 12-gondolla is surrounded by fountains that spray wild jets of water at various intervals, providing a great way for Familypark guests to cool off on a hot day.

To ride, passengers must be at least 1.2 metres tall or accompanied by an adult. Each car seats two riders or three children, providing an hourly capacity of approximately 720 based on a 90-second ride time and 30 seconds for loading/unloading. The attraction occupies a 17.3-metre diameter footprint.

Flying Fish forms part of a new Abenteurinsel (Adventure Island) area of the park, which also includes the Fischerhütte restaurant serving up fish & chips and other delicious meals. Familypark Neusiedlersee is located in the beautiful Burgenland area of Austria, close to Neusiedlersee lake.
