Familypark plans Halloween feast

Designed for adults and children, FamilyPark Austria will feature a Haunted House when its Halloween descends on the park from 25 October to 3 November.

Taking on the popular theme of the “Dia de los Muertos” the park is celebrating Fiesta de los Muertos, the Mexican funeral feast with extended opening hours and lots of surprises along the way.

This year’s show programme has also been upgraded to take place on all days and in a much larger tent than 2018. A total of 1400 people find space per show, protected from wind and weather. In addition to the children’s show with park mascot Filippo, the show “Muerte Mistica” (Mystic Death) will be take place in the evening.

Describing the attraction, Filip de Witte, managing director of the park, said: “In theme parks worldwide, Haunted Houses – horror houses – have been a crowd puller for years. We bring this trend to Austria. Of course, Halloween at Family Park is still an event for families, but it also includes older children and young adults. With the Haunted House, we offer this target group an absolute highlight that is unique in Austria. ”

Covering 500 m², the interior of the existing ghost castle will be completely redesigned and a team of actors will provide visitors with plenty of horror moments. The house, which has a separate entry fee of three euro, is recommended only from the age of 14 years.

Familypark is also welcoming the Austrian Redcross on 31 October. There will be two buses available from 10am to 6pm and all donors will be thanked with free entry.
