London comes to Freiburg
Visitors to Europa-Park, near Freiburg in Germany, can tour themed versions of 12 European countries, but England has always been one of the more disappointing parts. This season, however, the ride count has just doubled with the addition of two London-themed attractions.
London Bus (pictured) is a themed version of Zamperla’s Crazy Bus featuring a bright red Routemaster bus mounted to the side of an authentic-looking London property. Crazy Taxi, meanwhile, is a custom-design Demolition Derby, also by by Zamperla, sponsored by The London Cab Company.
Existing rides within Europa-Park’s England area include Arena of Football, a soccer-themed bumper car ride, and a carousel.
Fittingly, the British Association of Leisure Parks, Piers and Attractions (BALPPA) is to hold its Summer Conference at the park from June 16 to 18.
