On Tuesday 11 May, the Dutch government announced that, providing ICU and hospital admissions continue to decline, the relaxations from step two of the roadmap can take effect on Wednesday, 19 May.
This means that, after a closure of 22 weeks, Efteling Theme Park Resort could open again on Wednesday 19 May. The final decision will be made on Monday 17 May.
“We are very much looking forward to the reopening and we will remain positive that we can do so soon. We are ready and our staff is eager to get back to work. We believe that with the current corona measures in place, we can offer a safe day out, as we did for most of 2020.”
Efteling is a large nature park with lots of outdoor space. The park is has adopted all the measures in accordance with the guidelines of the protocol that was drawn up by industry associations Club van Elf and the Dutch Association of Zoos.
