Guests at the English park Drusillas, near the south coast in Sussex, got a sneak peak of the new Hello Kitty Secret Garden over the recent February half-term school holiday with the opening of a new tea cup ride.
Brokered in a deal with Japanese licence holder Saniro, the completed area will open in May and feature a unique local twist; set inside an English garden. Zamperla is on board as ride supplier and will also deliver a car ride and “reach for the sky” helicopter ride. A Hello Kitty bedroom and beauty parlour, plus meet and greet event days over holiday periods, will also be offered.
“We have always been a mix of animals and leisure attractions and we think Hello Kitty and Drusillas are a perfect match,” says managing director Laurence Smith. “We will be working very hard to ensure that this new area blends in with the rest of the park.”
