Boardwalk Bullet debuts at Kemah

After a series of weather delays, the Boardwalk Bullet, a western-themed wooden rollercoaster finally opened on the Kemah Boardwalk, Galveston, Texas, on August 31.

Designed by The Gravity Group and constructed by Martin & Vleminckx Rides, the Boardwalk Bullet is both compact and twisted. Located just feet from Galveston Bay, the coaster features a formidable 41 crossovers. It begins with a 92ft drop, tackling winding twists and turns, reaching speeds over 50 mph.

“The Boardwalk Bullet is the only seaside coaster, wooden or steel, on the Texas Gulf Coast,” highlights Kemah Boardwalk’s general manager, Tim Anderson. “The Boardwalk Bullet will give thrill-seeking Houston and Galveston residents an opportunity to experience an authentic wooden rollercoaster close to home for the first time since AstroWorld closed.”
