B&M Goliath for San Antonio park

Six Flags’ latest Goliath coaster is to open at one of its parks in Texas. A $15 million inverted coaster from Bolliger & Mabillard, the ride will be the eight coaster added to the line-up at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, San Antonio.

The 105-foot tall ride, set to open next spring, will be 2,693ft-long ride and feature five inversions including two vertical loops, two single corkscrews and a heartline spin. It will appear with blue steel track and high-speed yellow, blue, and orange trains (as seen here).

Goliath will be located in the Los Festivales portion of the park, and will provide a colourful and visually striking landmark as guests enter the park. Once aboard the suspended 28-passenger trains, the bottom will drop out from beneath the riders as they soar out of the station four abreast to experience both a variety of gravitational forces and the sensation of racing at 50 mph with nothing beneath their feet but earth and sky.
