Guests at Aquasplash in the south of France this summer enjoyed two high-energy attractions courtesy of Polin. The Turkish slide supplier installed both a Turbo Lance and Space Boat at this waterpark near Antibes.
The Turbo Lance starts from the top of 13.5-metre slide tower as riders rush into a steep drop followed by a uphill ‘wall’ section, then back down over a bump and into the splash pool. This high capacity slide promises an unforgettable experience and resulted in long queues snaking through the park.
The Space Boat (above) meanwhile starts form the same height and begins with a tube slide segments that exits into a huge open bowl. Riders whirl around the bowl several times before entering a slide and being dispatched into the splash pool.
“The operators of Aquasplash chose to have both attractions in a multi-coloured finish, which we believe creates a great visual for the park,” says Polin Waterpark’s Sohret Pakis. “For example, on the Space Boat, you enter the bowl riding on light colours and continue on to darker colours. This is a unique colour choice that we have not applied until now.”
Owned by Parques Reunidos, Aquasplash is part of the Marineland complex on the Cote d’Azur.
