$3m marine kingdom for little ones coming to Calypso Theme Waterpark

Calypso Theme Waterpark, Canada’s largest theme waterpark, has unveiled Funtana – a new attraction curated completely for young families and children aged 3 and under. Funtana represents a $3 million investment by Group Calypso Valcartier.

Funtana spans 3,333 sq m and provides a safe splish-splashing day out in a supervised environment. The park (themed to resemble a magical marine kingdom) is home to a 1,420 sq f castle and colourful cast of characters, and over 390 water jets spouting more than 450,000 litres of water per hour.

In all, Funtana features 65 interactive water games including a giant chess board with children friendly interactive activities, 4 swings, numerous water hoses, jets, and three dolphin-spouting water fountains. Additionally, access to Funtana is free for children measuring one metre in height and under.

Calypso Theme Waterpark opened in Summer 2010, representing a $65m investment. The park stands out with a 100 acre layout, 35 heated waterslides, 100 water games, and Canada’s largest wave pool and tallest waterslide.
