Emaar Entertainment announced the opening of The Dubai Mall’s new VR Park on March 1st, 2018. The park combines augmented reality and virtual reality, providing rides and arcade games in a two-storey attraction.
Guests can propel down the sides of Buri Khalifa in Buri Drop, or ride in an out of control taxi in Dubai Drone. A number of adventure activities are also on offer, including skydiving experience Plummet, and in Dune Bash guests can have a close encounter with camel spiders, scorpions, and other creatures.
The Raft is a co-operative title that requires players to grab their VR guns and work together to defend the swamp against a supernatural infestation, and gamers can enjoy Payday 2 VR heist, The Walking Dead Outbreak, and a space station exploration adventure in RobocomVR.
For younger children there’s Geminose: The VR Carousel, which features playful creatures and magic, music, and dance.
Leading partner and content and technology develop Starbreeze, will host eight VR-experiences at VR Park, where several are utilising the high fidelity Virtual Reality HMD StarVR. Additional partners include ARKUB, Robocom and Virtual Reality technologies.
Emaar Entertainment’s 7,000sqm VR Park is located in The Dubai Mall on Level 2.
