Spring cleaning and surprises at Heide Park

Heide Park is about to bloom after an upkeep period. All rides in the park have undergone maintenance, with ultrasound examinations taking place in the workshops – for larger rides, however, a crane is used to perform the necessary checks.

During the maintenance, tracks are examined and trains disassembled and returned to the rails. Gardeners have also planted thousands of flowers, with the park’s shops and restaurants receiving partial renovations, too.

“It is important, among other things,” said Bastian Lampe, technical director of Heide Park. “that we of course produce a perfect rail connection, so that the wagons can whiz along the line smoothly at the end.”

In addition to this winter work and seasonal preparation, a completely new park area for preschool children – Peppa Pig Land – will welcome guests on March 24th. Likewise, the Adventure Hotel will feature thee matching Peppa themed rooms for little ones and their guardians.

Heide Park is also preparing for their Zombie Escape event. Guests over the age of 16 must follow hints and clues to escape the zombie hoard on selected weekends (including dates in April, May, June, and September). And, in a similar spooky vein, the Grand Hotel Morton opens its doors in April.

These events are part of Heide Park’s ThrillEvents promotion, where guests can purchase a season pass and pay once for access to all thrill events and the park’s six roller coasters.
