Vekoma Rides Manufacturing of Holland and Chance Morgan have established an alliance meaning the latter will handle US sales for Vekoma, initially from its Wichita, Kansas, office.
Angus Jenkins has been hired as the new director of theme park sales and will eventually handle all US orders for both Chance Morgan and Vekoma rides out of a Dallas, Texas, office.
Advantages to American customers as a result of the new deal will include Vekoma rides and attractions offered in US dollars, shorter communication lines, and considerable savings on shipping costs.
Mike Teske, who joined the Vekoma staff in 2004 and headed Vekoma Rides LLC, the Dutch manufacturer’s USA sales division, has announced his decision to leave the company and return to his “roots” within the industry as director of construction and maintenance at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
Meanwhile, Bill McCarthy, former amusement park sales manager for Chance Morgan, announced his retirement from the company in September.
