Lindstrand Technologies has installed a HiFlyer tethered balloon in the popular British resort of Torquay. Soaring to 400ft (120 metres) above the coast, the attraction gives up to 30 passengers at a time a breathtaking 15-minute bird’s eye view over the “English Riveria.”
The ride operates from 10am to 9pm (weather permitting) and has generated a lot of publicity locally, both positive and negative. Overall, however, the reception has been good and the balloon is expected to bring even more visitors into an area that should be preparing for peak holiday season around the time you read this.
Certificated by Civil Aviation Authority and wheelchair accessible, the Lindstrand HiFlyer provides a safe and thrilling experience balloon ride experience. The Torquay version is one of three in three now operational in the UK, the others appearing at Bournemouth and Leeds Castle in Kent.
