Manta comes to Orlando
SeaWorld Orlando has released more information about the rollercoaster it is planning for next season. The Bolliger & Mabillard ride will be a flying coaster called Manta.
The four-acre, 140ft tall attraction will be located inside the main entrance to SeaWorld, and become an icon in the park with its unique design cloaked in hues of dark purple, ultramarine and cobalt blue.
Guests board via a themed underwater queue line, with floor-to-ceiling windows create encounters with 300 rays, as well as thousands of fish and other mysterious creatures. Passengers will fly face-down, in a horizontal position, underneath the belly of a coaster train shaped as a 12ft-wide manta.
Passengers will 140 up to 140ft into the air before soaring over land and water on one of the most graceful flying coasters ever created. Along the way, guests will glide, swoop and dive to 56mph, through four inversions on 3,359ft of track.
