Robogeddon in Kuwait
Published:  01 November, 2006

Robots R Us has sold a static Robogeddon robot combat game into Kuwait and is now hoping for many more orders from the Middle East following the appointment of a local representative.

Touristic Enterprises in Kuwait City will be the proud owner of the robotfighting game from the UK-based company. According to Easa Husain Al- Yousifi & Sons, Robots R Us’ new Kuwait-based agent, several more potential clients are interested to see it once it’s up and running.

Robogeddon is an exciting robot gaming attraction that lets players take control of 80kg ‘Cyber Raptor Robots’ and experience the tense excitement of Robot Wars-style battle. The game is already popular at amusement parks, holiday camps, corporate events and birthday parties.

The game is available either as a static version, in a variety of configurations, or as a self-contained transportable unit that folds out from a trailer in around one hour. Custom-themed versions of the attraction include a recent delivery to family-owned park Kanoboerderij de Reusel in the Netherlands, where the robots have been themed as tractors.

Building on the success of Robogeddon, Robots R Us has now introduced Robosoccer, in which the robot’s claws are replaced by a ‘scoop’ that directs a football across the pitch and, hopefully, into the goal.

“People just get is straight away,” observes Robots R Us managing director, Andrew Cotterell. “It’s also cheaper than Robogeddon.” Robosoccer has already been trialed at Alton Towers and is just about to go into Center Parcs.
