It’s not the only event of its kind taking place in China this summer, but the Asia Tourism & Attractions Summit (ATAS), set to happen next month in Macau, is perfectly timed to pick up professionals already in the area for IAAPA’s Asian Attractions Expo. As official media partner, Park World previews the two-day event.
The diversity of Asia presents both opportunities and challenges for tourism and attractions developers. According to Economics Research Associates (ERA), Asian attraction growth is five times faster than that in either Europe or America and more theme parks are planned exceeding half a million annual guests than in the US.
Following four China Tourism and Attractions Summits in Shanghai, the Avail Corporation is hoping for similar success in Macau with the first Asia Tourism & Attractions Summit, chaired by industry experts including Keith James of Jack Rouse Associates.
At the event, attraction developers, designers, owners and operators, as wells as government officials, will share their experiences of doing business in China and beyond. The high level event will also include practical workshops, technology demonstrations and site tours.
The Asia Tourism & Attraction Summit takes place on Monday and Tuesday, July 14 and 15, in Macau, a short ferry hop from Hong Kong. For an up to date conference programme and registration details visit the website.
