The Spanish leisure group Parques Reunidos has purchased Sea Life Park in Hawaii (pictured) from Dolphin Discovery, a Mexican company that owned it since 2005. Parques Reunidos paid an undisclosed price for the 22-acre park which is located outside Waimanalo.

Sea Life Park is Hawaii's 17th most-visited attraction, according to Pacific Business News. The park, which employs about 200 people, had about 300,000 visitors last year. Its manager, Jesus Bravo, will stay on.
“Our goal is to refine and elevate Sea Life Park's reputation as a world-class attraction where visitors and residents alike can discover and enjoy the wonders of Hawaii's vibrant marine life," says managing director Jose Diaz.
