The Grand Indonesia mega mall project in downtown Jakarta, Indonesia, is set to open during 2007.This one million square foot development will be home to Crossroads of the World, a twostory, 200,000 sq ft entertainment district comprised of highly immersive retail, dining and show experiences. Alll were all conceptualised, designed and produced by Gary Goddard Entertainment.

Meanwhile, Hong Kong-based Galaxy Resorts has announced an alliance with GGE to create a mega resort on the Cotai Strip in Macau – tipped to be the new Las Vegas strip, and indeed exceed it.

While the name and theme have yet to be revealed, Gary Goddard promises the resort will be unlike anything to come before it. “We drew from our decades of experience in Las Vegas,” he says, “and from that created a spectacular concept that will surprise even the most jaded casinogoer.”

Currently under construction, the resort is set to open its doors in Spring 2008. Previously, Goddard and his team have been responsible for a wide array of resort and casino destinations, having created The Forum Shops at Caesars, Caesars Magical Empire and the long-term Master Plan for Caesars Palace, as well as the original concepts for Sheldon Adelson’s Venetian, Sol Kersner’s Atlantis in the Bahamas and the masterplan for Lake Las Vegas.

GGE also recently produced a special, one-nightonly benefit presentation of the Tim Rice/Andrew Lloyd Webber musical classic Jesus Christ Superstar, which took place live onstage in Hollywood before a sold-out audience.
