Busch Entertainment officials are reluctant to call the attraction a rollercoaster, but say it will have coaster components. Described as "both appealing and compelling" by Busch Entertainment’s Joseph Couceiro, the attraction will open 2009.
"It's going to have animal components, marine-life components and will have a very unique, state-of-the-art ride, a roller coaster if you will, that will provide a sensation of gliding,” says Couceiro. “The combination of the animals and the ride is what makes it special."
Busch recently introduced a waterslide though a dolphin enclosure as part of its new Aquatica waterpark in Orlando. The new attraction at SeaWorld, which has yet to be named, is expected to combine entertainment with marine-life education. Land is already being cleared for construction.
"It's us investing in a destination that we feel very confident about,” adds Couceiro. “We want to make sure that we remain as a must-do experience when visitors come to Orlando."
