The Dutch ride manufacturer KMG intends to broaden its customer base and appeal to more than just the European fairground operators who until now have been its core market.
Speaking to Park World at the recent IAAPA Attractions Expo, the company’s new sales manager Peter Theunisz revealed that parks were now on its hit list, including those in the United States. Former Mondial sales manager Hendrik Dijkstra will now work with local ride operator Mike Demas to offer sales, repair and maintenance of KMG attractions to American customers.
The firm’s current portfolio includes hit rides like the Afterburner, Speed (Booster) and Miami. Two new attractions on the drawing board are the High Swing (see Ride Guide, link below) and Inversion, pictured here. Using the same frame structure as the company’s existing Freak Out, the ride comes with three looping gondolas and a main arm that turns through 360º. The first unit is due for April delivery in the Netherlands.
