HIT Entertainment appoints park partners
Ride Entertainment Systems will be US rep
Published:  18 December, 2007

HIT Entertainment has appointed Ride Entertainment Systems (RES) as its strategic development partner for theme parks and attractions in North America. Amusement Rides Consultants (ARC) of the Netherlands, will continue as HIT’s partner for the rest of the world.

HIT Entertainment is one of the world’s leading independent children’s entertainment producers and rights-owners. Acting as a “one stop shop” for theme parks, RES and ARC will manage the sales, design, sourcing and manufacturing of ride systems for all HIT’s brands. They will also work closely with the company’s brand, marketing and design teams to ensure brand integrity and quality control.

ARC has already been responsible for helping realise a Thomas-themed train ride at Drusillas in England and for the design of Thomas Land, set to open this coming season at Drayton Manor, also in the UK, as well as Thomas Town themed areas at a number of Six Flags parks in the United States.

Parks and attractions have become a rapidly growing segment of the HIT Entertainment’s global business, and the company’s senior vice-president of business development, Gary Krakower, feels he knows why: “Our brands are equally as popular as some of the Disney and Universal properties, but as we do not have our own attractions we are free to work with different operators.”
