Ripley Publishing and Tim O’Brien’s newest amusement industry book is journey through the weird, wacky and absolutely factual world of amusement park oddities and trivia. With more than 350 Believe It or Nots! and 50-plus original illustrations by Ripley’s official cartoonist John Graziano, nearly half of the book is dedicated to the bizarre, colourful and entertaining world of amusement parks, rides and attractions.
The other half features specific chapters on the Walt Disney parks, rollercoasters, Ferris wheels, carousels, well-known entertainers and park food.
Graziano’s illustrations are original and revealing and O’Brien’s tongue-in-cheek and somewhat irreverent writing style makes the book a straightforward and enjoyable read. “There are hundreds of weird and wonderful nuggets in there!” adds Ripley Entertainment president, Bob Masterson.
