Hard Rock Park builds stairway to coaster heaven
Published:  21 August, 2007

Exactly one year after breaking ground on the world’s first rock ‘n’ roll theme park, Hard Rock Park in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, celebrated the topping off mid-July of its most anticipated attraction, Led Zeppelin – The Ride.

Towering more than 150ft into the sky, the B&M coaster will serve as a landmark helping travellers pinpoint Hard Rock Park from the Route 501 highway. The ride will located be partially over water in the Rock & Roll Heaven zone and reach speeds of 65 mph. Among six inversions will be a 120-foot loop. Every moment of the ride, including drops and loops, is timed to Led Zeppelin’s hit single Whole Lotta Love.

The 140-acre Hard Rock Park is scheduled to open 2008.
