Bear owner buys Tschu-Tschu
Published:  21 August, 2007

Land train specialist Tschu-Tschu has been sold to Bartholet Maschinenbau of Flums, Switzerland, the company that just a few years ago became the majority shareholder in Bear Rides, also from Switzerland.

Tschu-Tshcu will retain production facilities in Neumarkt, Germany, after nearly 35 years of designing and producing sightseeing trains for intercity use, amusement parks, beaches, zoos and holiday resorts, but is expected to share efforts with Bear Rides when it comes to attending trade shows.

Bartholet Maschinenbau is a leading producer of railway systems and mechanical engineering and had already begun working with Bear on various people-moving projects including a monorail. Plans have been announced to invest in production at Tschu-Tshcu while streamlining its range of products.
