‘Everyone comes off smiling’

The new family coaster by L&T Systems

Gillian’s Wonderland Pier has introduced the Runaway Train, a specially designed Compact Coaster 800 from L&T Systems of Italy, and it’s filled with thrills the entire family can enjoy.

The coaster carries up to 20 riders in a five-car train over a 919ft layout. The twisting double out-and-back design is 43ft tall.

“We replaced our Schwarzkopf City Jet coaster,” explains Jay Gillian, president of Wonderland Pier. “We wanted a coaster with a train rather than individual cars. We were looking for a family coaster, but one that’s thrilling too. Our guests love it. Everyone comes off with a smile.”

“L&T was great,” Gillian continues. “Carlo Gugliemi from Ital International brokered the sale for us. We picked the Western Mine theme to complement our adjacent Canyon Falls Hopkins’ Log Flume.”
