A 200-acre piece of land on the South Strip of Las Vegas has been earmarked for a new family resort which will include both a waterpark and snow dome.
The Las Vegas Waterpark Resort team (Las Vegas WET) is currently in the final negotiation stages for the land, but has declined to identify the sellers and the precise location due to confidentiality terms in the offer.
The planned resort is slated to include not only an indoor snow dome, indoor and outdoor waterpark, surfing activities, an arena, retail outlets and restaurants. The indoor waterpark will be the largest in North America at over 350,000 sq ft. Thinnkwell Design of California is consulting on the project.
The WET team has also decided to expand the environmental angle of the project, and will only be using electric and hydrogen powered vehicles at the complex, as well as expanding its water recycling and processing facilities
