Echoing a programme pioneered at Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari, this year Magic Springs & Crystal Falls, Hot Springs, Arkansas, is offering unlimited amounts of free soft drink throughout the park, plus free sunscreen and free tubes in the waterpark.
“We have studied this concept for a number of years and have visited Holiday World a number of times during our analysis,” reveals Dan Aylward, president and general manager. “As we prepared for the 2007 season, we found ourselves most inclined to follow in their footsteps. The article in Park World [see link below] reviewing Holiday World and the decision Will Koch made a number of years ago regarding free Pepsi gave us additional insight into some of the nuances of the programme.”
Free Pepsi drink products will be available at all existing food stands at Magic Springs & Crystal Falls and at self-serve Pepsi Oasis locations throughout the park.
Big improvements are planned this year at the Crystal Falls waterpark, where the largest water slide complex in Arkansas will be added as part of a multi-year, $10 million investment.
