New park for Myrtle Beach
Published:  19 March, 2007

Myrtle Beach Pavilion Amusement Park may be gone in South Carolina, but a new park will open this summer at Broadway at the Beach.

The Pavilion Nostalgia Park includes nostalgic family rides from the Pavilion like the historic 1912 Herschell-Spillman carousel that first opened in Myrtle Beach in 1950, the German band organ originally from the 1900 Paris World Exposition, the Caterpillar ride, Wave Swinger and both the adult and kids version of the thrilling Pirate Ship.

Children will continue to enjoy the motorcycles, dune buggy, boat ride and teacups. The Pavilion Nostalgia Park also has an old time shop, five midway skill games, an on-site museum housing artefacts from the Myrtle Beach Pavilion Amusement Park, and numerous other activities.
